what's in a name?
Although her dog, Sirius, was the inspiration behind the name, Sirius Theater Company, it was the word-play that caused the name to stick in the mind of founder and artistic director, Tiffany Schulze.
Just out of college, Tiffany moved to Austin to build a career in the performing arts. However, soon after arriving, Tiffany found most often than not, the cards are stacked high against someone who is just starting out in the competitive field(s) of performing arts.
Tiffany Schulze started Sirius Theater Company due to a desire to help actors and musicians new to Austin, gain experience and build connections with seasoned performers in order to enable them to gain more performance opportunities.
Here at Sirius Theater Company, we may be young (and old), and we may be a bit goofy at times, but we do take our art and our work seriously.
